We're A Strong Unit: Cook

Damien Cook is determined that despite the losses on field, the Rabbitohs are a strong unit and will look to turn around the results for not only themselves but also their fans, Club and families in this week’s clash against Melbourne.

The Rabbitohs Hooker knows his team are the only ones who can get out them out of their losing streak and believes they can finish on a high if the team’s training success can be transferred onto the field on game days.

“We’ve got to fix what happened last night, last night wasn’t good enough for us” said Cook.

“The only way we are going to get out of this hole is sticking together and trusting my team mates and working with them to get through it,

“We train well and come to the game and little things go wrong and that’s when it can be a little bit frustrating but you can’t get frustrated on the field because it is what it is, we’ve just got to learn to bounce back from that and do what we do which is make our tackles and hold the ball”.

Although the team is struggling to claim a win, they are rallying around each other and have created a support network through their off-field mateships.

“That’s the best thing about our group I’ve noticed over the last few weeks, it has been a tough run but I think we’ve become very close together and that’s the most important thing. The last thing you want is to turn on each other and we are definitely not doing that,

“We are the only ones who can get us out of this”
