Following the Rabbitohs victory against the Warriors on the weekend, Kyle Turner not only celebrated Souths first win since round 11 but the encounter also marked his 50th NRL game.
Turner, a one-club man, has scored 28 points during his three year NRL career through seven tries. In 2016, he has played 20 games for the Red & Green and is looking forward to the last few games of the season.
“Celebrating the win, that was the favourite part to me, everyone’s head space was so much better,” said Turner.
“It’s every kids dream to play one NRL game let alone 50,
“It was a great win, ten weeks too long but can’t wait to get another one this weekend and get another 50 hopefully.”
Turner was faced with the difficult decision in 2015 after a serious neck injury sustained in the All Stars clash forced him to the side line for majority of the 2015 season.
“I didn’t know what the future did hold for me, I was up in the air with what to do, but I love the boys too much not to try to play again.
“I think it made me a better person physically and mentally.”
Turner believes the Sharks will be a tough encounter on Monday but will be looking to build on last week’s performance and aim for another win.
“The Sharks are going to be a tough side, they haven’t performed the last two weeks as well as they wanted to but there’s no doubt they are going to turn it up against us.
“We’ve got to be on our game,
“We’re going to stick together and build on what we did last week.”
