With the South Sydney Rabbitohs looking to travel to the nation's capital to take on the Canberra Raiders, we take a look back at our five best victories in the ACT.
Round 2 2002 - Rabbitohs 30 def Raiders 22
Season 2002 was as historic as any year for the Red and Green as the Club had been justifiably reinstated into the competition.
In Round 2 Souths travelled to Canberra on a Saturday night and famously recorded their first victory back in the NRL.
A rag-tag group of Rabbitohs took the two points in a see-sawing contest, with five-eighth Owen Craigie scoring a try and showing some individual brilliance, regathering a grubber kick and sending halves partner Blaine Stanley over for a four-pointer.
Round 23 2005 - Rabbitohs 29 def Raiders 16
One of the few high points for the 2005 season was the 29-16 victory over the Raiders in Round 23.
The Rabbitohs managed their fourth win in five matches and dashing the Raiders' finals hopes in the process.
Halfback Ben Walker was on fire, scoring two tries, kicking 4 goals and kicking a field goal for a 17-point haul.
Round 7 2010 - Rabbitohs 26 def Raiders 24
After being down 24-6 at halftime, the attacking prowess of the 2010 Rabbitohs shone in the second half as they staged their biggest ever comeback against the Raiders.
Led by Chris Sandow and John Sutton, the Red and Green put on an ANZAC Day show, with Dave Taylor, Nathan Merritt, Rhys Wesser and Issac Luke touching down for four extraordinary tries.
The match finished 26-24 in favour of the Red and Green.
Round 23 2011 - Rabbitohs 47 defeat Raiders 18
Coming off two huge wins against the St. George Illawarra Dragons and Parramatta Eels, Souths looked to continue their winning ways in an end of season trip to the ACT.
From start to finish, the Rabbitohs flexed their muscles against a lowly Raiders outfit, scoring eight tries in a 47-18 rout.
The match remains as our biggest ever win against the Raiders in Canberra with the highest-winning margin behind the 37-7 win back in 1982 - our first ever match against the lime green.
Round 20 2014 - Rabbitohs 34 defeat Raiders 18
A freezing Monday night in Canberra isn't an ideal road trip, but the Rabbitohs made their Premiership intentions clear with a 34-18 victory.
An injury to John Sutton early on looked to derail the match, but Souths clicked into gear after leading 12-2 at half-time, with Adam Reynolds, Alex Johnston and Bryson Goodwin all bagging doubles.
Although two late tries were conceded, the win continued what would become a five-match winning streak for the side.
