The Four Pointer - Wests Tigers

The South Sydney Rabbitohs take on the Wests Tigers in Round 19 and it's set to be one of the biggest games of the season yet.

With so much going on, I've managed once again to narrow down four key points to look out for in what's shaping up to be one of the busiest games of the year.

Milestones galore

On Saturday both sides will be playing for more than just the two points when they come head-to-head at ANZ Stadium.

For the Rabbitohs, Club legend John Sutton will play his 300th game for Souths as well as Dane Gagai who will be playing his 150th NRL game.

The Wests Tigers will also be celebrating a milestone with former Souths player Robbie Farah playing his 250th game for the joint venture.

Adam Reynolds is also in the box seat to become the second highest point scorer in the club's history. Currently, he needs three more points to eclipse the great Bernie Purcell.

Simms: 1841
Purcell: 1126
Reynolds: 1124

Tigers on the prowl

While Souths may be on a nine-game winning streak, they will need to be extra careful this week up against a Tigers outfit who are chasing a finals dream.

Along with this, the Tigers have toppled the current top four sides at least once this season, defeating the 'Sydney' Roosters in Round 1, the Melbourne Storm twice and the St George Illawarra Dragons last Sunday.

The Rabbitohs will of course back themselves to get the job done but will be aware of challenges ahead of them.

Setting up for the run home

Eyeing up another two points and a tenth straight win, a victory against the Tigers will set up an intriguing next three rounds of matches.

As it stands the Club's record for most consecutive wins is 12 set in 1989. If the Rabbitohs win on Saturday and make it ten straight they will be in a very strong position to rewrite the history books.

With back-to-back home games over the next three rounds, wins against the Parramatta Eels, Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters will propel the Rabbitohs to 13 games on the trot.

While the road is challenging the Pride of the League will no doubt fancy themselves a chance of reaching another milestone in 2018.

Getting up for 'Sutto'

I can't wrap up this piece without mentioning Club legend John Sutton one last time.

There is no doubt the Red and Green will be up for this one to bring home the two points on a memorable day for a Club legend.
