The Club Is In Great Hands: Inglis

Rabbitohs Skipper Greg Inglis has highlighted his pride in our emerging young players, such as Musgrove, Crichton and Gray, and believes our Club is in good hands heading forward.

In a season where the Rabbitohs were forced to utilise 31 players in the first-grade squad through injuries, representative duties and suspensions of key players, GI believes that the experiences handed to our emerging players will benefit the Club heading into 2017.

"It makes me feel like the Clubs in great hands going forward," explained Inglis.

"There’s a lot of guys debuting and a lot of young guys coming through,

"It’s terrific and it’s a great way to move forward and we’re looking forward to next year because we’ve got a lot of young guys that we have faith in."

While Greg concedes it is a "season to forget" he is excited by the better things to come next season. Off-field, however, the excitement hasn't ended for 2016 with Inglis excited by the coming birth of his second child with partner Sally.

"Finding out we’re pregnant with our second baby – that was my highlight for 2016," smiled Inglis.

With GI's mind set on big things for next season he also makes it clear that the Rabbitohs commitment to community will remain as strong as ever - especially with Souths Cares looking to expand their operations in 2017.

"The way I see it; giving back to community is a very vital and important thing and it reflects on us as a Club and as a group," said Inglis.

"Being in the heart of Redfern and being the South Sydney Rabbitohs I think it’s important to never forget where you come from and keep your feet grounded,

"To be in the position we’re in we are fortunate and to go out and put a smile on someone’s face whether they’re kids or whether they’re elderly is really important,

"We always try to get out and do what we can for the community."
