Souths Cares Visit Bringelly Public School

Souths Cares visited Bringelly Public School yesterday to deliver the Oral Health Program. The program involves teaching primary school students about the importance of oral healthcare, nutrition and physical activity. During the program students progress through a number of activities including oral health workshops and rugby league clinics.

Facilitating the program was South Sydney Rabbitohs former captain and now Souths Cares Ambassador, Roy Asotasi. Asotasi explained he was impressed with the student’s enthusiasm today.  ‘The students at Bringelly Public School were eager to learn about their oral health and get involved with our football clinics. We hope delivering this program will help the students make healthy life choices now and into the future.

Also helping with the football clinics was Rabbitohs Under 20’s players Nic Mougious and Joshua Cook, who did a fantastic job sharing their skills and knowledge with the students.

The program was well received by Bringelly Public School, as explained by primary school teacher Greg McCroary ‘Roy, Nic and Joshua, along with the Souths Cares team have done a great job today. We know it’s a long way from Redfern to Bringelly and we are thankful for the team visiting our school’.

The program is supported by the NRL Indigenous Allstars and Colgate.
