Souths Cares and NSWPDRLA Launch All Stars Game

New South Wales Physical Disability Rugby League Association (NSWPDRLA) and Souths Cares launched the annual All Stars game for rugby league players with a physical disability.

Each year the Indigenous Combined Nations All Stars team plays the NSWPDRLA All Stars team in a modified version of rugby league.

This year’s All Stars game will be played at Redfern Oval on Sunday 10th July. The game coincides with NAIDOC week and is a celebration of Indigenous rugby league players whom play within the NSWPDRLA.

Indigenous Combined Nations player George Tonna explained the All-Stars Game was the ultimate representative honour for rugby league players with a physical disability.

"To get selected for the All Stars game is a big honour for both the Indigenous Combined Nations All Stars players and the NSWPDRLA All Stars players," said George.

This year is the third annual game with the NSWPDRLA team winning the shield last year in a close game 10-8.

Souths Cares sponsors the NSWPDRLA and recently extended this agreement until the end of the 2017 season. The partnership between Souths Cares and NSWPDRLA is part of Souths Cares commitment to promote inclusion for all people within the sport of rugby league.
