Reynolds: We’re in a Good Headspace

After a week off from the NRL grind owing to the Representative Round, Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds says that he and his side have benefited both physically and mentally as the side prepares to take on the Parramatta Eels this Friday night at Pirtek Stadium.

The men in Red and Green took full advantage of the week off from playing by focusing on their own game, and improvements that need to be made ahead of the Round 10 clash.

“I thought we trained really well as a squad,” said Reynolds of the rep week.

“Moving forward, we got a few days off there and a bit of a mental freshen up. I think everyone’s in a good head space at the moment and we’re looking forward to this weekend.

“(We’re) extremely confident. As a club we’re working towards a goal – everyone’s on the same page. As a group we couldn’t be in a better space at the moment.”

With a disrupted start to his own season owing to a crack in his jaw, the Rabbitohs halfback says that he has been working towards improving his performance, describing his form as ‘up and down’.

“I’ve sort of been up and down – there’s been patches, good and bad,” said Reynolds.

“But you get to run out again this Friday night and put all that behind you.”

A positive for he and his team this week will be the availability of the Club’s seven representative players following last week’s international and City v Country clashes – the likes of Greg Inglis, Aaron Gray, Kirisome Auva’a, and more, set to benefit from the experience at the game’s rep level.

“I thought all our representative players represented the Club really well,” said Reynolds.

“They all did a fantastic job – they represented their cultures and their teams second to none.

“No doubt they’ll get a lot of confidence out of that and hopefully that rubs off on the other boys.”
