It was trying conditions at ANZ Stadium in our round four clash with the Sydney Roosters and a tough outcome for your Rabbitohs but last night (Thursday) Adam Reynolds marked a major milestone by becoming the third ever person to kick 400 goals for South Sydney.
Reynolds joins Eric Simms (803 goals) and Bernie Purcell (509) goals as the third person ever to kick 400 goals for the Rabbitohs. Neil Baker (205) and Benny Wearing (202) are our next most successful kickers.
Achieving this milestone in his 116th appearance for the Rabbitohs, Reynolds has been a scoring phenomenom since his promotion to the Souths first grade squad. He's notched 877 points through 400 goals, 17 tries and 9 field goals.
Adam Reynolds also holds the record for the most consecutive NRL games in which a player has scored points.
Reynolds’ record is 76 consecutive matches. The run was Rd 1 2012 vs Roosters (Home) to Rd 25 2014 vs Bulldogs (Away). He achieved the record in Rd 17 vs Titans (Home). The previous best was Jason Taylor with 68 consecutive matches.
In non-consecutive matches, Reynolds had scored points in every NRL game in which he had played from Rd 1 2012 vs Roosters (Home) until Rd 14 2015 vs Tigers (Away). His run was 86 games.
