Christmas has come early for Members and supporters who follow the infamous cardinal red and myrtle green. But they’re not the only ones who are looking forward to the South Sydney’s open training day.
Kicking off at 10am this Monday 18 December, the Rabbitohs are looking to round the year off in style by giving Members and supporters a chance to meet the squad and see how they’re preparing for 2018 under new Head Coach Anthony Seibold.
It's an exclusive peek behind the curtain at Redfern Oval for those people who turn up rain, hail or shine throughout the season.
“Our club’s built on membership so we’re really looking forward to seeing them out on Monday.”
Members and supporters form the foundations of this club, and one player who fully recognises this is Cody Walker.
“Our club’s built on membership so we’re really looking forward to seeing them out on Monday with a smile on their faces. We love getting out in the community and enjoy seeing the members,” Walker said.
“For us to give back, it’s the least we can do.”
Another player who echoes this sentiment is halfback Adam Reynolds who sees the occasion as something more than an opportunity to sign a few autographs.
“It’s good to give back to the members, it’s good to see them turn up and support us,” added Reynolds.
“They’re a very loyal group, no matter win, draw or lose they’re always here to support us. For us to give back, it’s the least we can do.”
For those that are looking to get some signed 2018 Rabbitohs gear for any loved ones this Christmas, our merchandise team will be on site offering a 10% discount for all Members.
See you on Monday.
