Review 2017: Tyrell Fuimaono

Young gun Tyrell Fuimaono was one of the star junior signings the Club made in the offseason, and he did his credentials no harm with a strong debut season in Red and Green.

The proud Wiradjuri man made his NRL debut in Round 10 against the Wests Tigers, appropriately in Indigenous Round, coming off the bench and making a strong impact in the 28-8 victory.

It was his versatility that made Fuimaono such a valuable team member, showing his capability and comfort in playing in both the backrow and in the centres, which is where he finished off the season, scoring both his tries against the Raiders and Storm respectively.

The Junior Kangaroos rep proved to be a handful in both defence and attack, making some strong runs and never surrendering to the tackle, as well as putting on some bone-rattling shots, never backing down to any opponent, and after having his first taste of the top grade in 2017, there is no doubt that Tyrell Fuimaono has set himself up for an even better year in 2018.
