Greg Inglis opened the scoring for the Queensland Maroons in the 4th minute and was a threatening presence throughout Game III before a late NSW Blues comeback prevented the Maroons from a series whitewash.
Attacking on his preferred left edge, Inglis was an immediate impact for the Maroons when he crossed to grab first blood and extend his Queensland try-scoring record to 18 tries.
His strength in attack was matched by his excellence in defense as shown in the 25th minute when he pulled off a perfectly timed hit on Josh Jackson which rattled the Blues second-rower.
His efforts, however, couldn't seal the whitewash for Queensland as a resurgent Blues outfit won Game III with a couragous fight back in front of a crowd of 61,267 at ANZ Stadium.
