Rabbitohs women shifting attitude

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will run out for their last regular season game on Saturday at North Sydney Oval looking to claim the minor premiership.

In the box seat to finish first in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, the women in Red and Green will be looking to put in a big performance in the build-up to the finals.

Getting back to winning ways last weekend against Cabramatta, the Rabbitohs have got the wind back in their sails again after a going through a form slump.

Regaining their composure through a strong week of training dummy-half Jessica Potter credited the consistent performances the team have been putting in during training.

"We had a really good week at training, the intensity has lifted," said Potter.

"There has been a real shift in attitude which really lifted us."

Heading into the championship end of the competition the Rabbitohs women have adjusted their mindset and attitude to make sure there are no slip-ups in the games that matter.

"As a playing group, we didn't like the way we were playing and the attitude that was coming into training and into games," Potter explained.

"I think there has been a bit of complacency, so everyone got together and decided that this isn't how we want to move forward and said there has to be a shift."

Whilst the Rabbitohs women have been imperious over the majority of the season's duration, there is still plenty to work on, even before the finals begin.

We've been working on lifting the intensity and playing for each other," said Potter

'Focusing on working in numbers in particular in defence, I've always believed that a good attack comes off a good defence so just muscling up in defence and showing teams why we deserve to be where we are."
