Rabbitohs Supporting Bush Footy In 2018

The South Sydney Rabbitohs and the NRL have announced that the Rabbitohs will take home premiership fixtures to Cairns and Gosford in 2018 as part of the NRL’s strategy to take more games to regional New South Wales and Queensland throughout the 2018 season.

Five games will head to regional centres in New South Wales and three to regional Queensland, with the Rabbitohs taking a home game to Cairns for the sixth consecutive season in 2018. The Rabbitohs will also be taking a game to Central Coast Stadium in Gosford in lieu of the game that has been taken to Allianz Stadium in recent seasons. This is the first time the Rabbitohs have played at Central Coast Stadium since 2014. Opponents, rounds, dates and times will be confirmed when the NRL season draw is released in coming weeks.

Rabbitohs Ticketed Members will have access to reserved seating bays for the game at Central Coast Stadium as part of their Membership and Rabbitohs Queensland Membership holders will have access to reserved seats for the game in Cairns. Ticketed Members can also upgrade their Membership to include ticketing in Cairns. For more details on Membership packages visit

In addition, the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons will take the annual Charity Shield match to central west New South Wales for the first time with the 35th edition of the match to be played at Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium in Mudgee on Saturday 24 February.

As it is the Charity Shield, a match designated to support the chosen charities of both clubs, the Rabbitohs’ entire appearance fee from Mid-Western Regional Council will be donated to Souths Cares to assist the organisation in operating its programs for disadvantaged, marginalised and Indigenous youth and their families in the South Sydney district and around the State.
