The South Sydney Rabbitohs have cut their squad down to 19 players ahead of their Round 6 match and the first leg of the Ron Coote Cup against the Sydney Roosters, at Allianz Stadium.
Cameron Murray has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, with Jason Clark moving into the starting line up at lock.
Clark will play his 150th NRL game in Thursday’s clash, with five-eighth Cody Walker playing in his 50th NRL match.
Clark, a South Sydney junior from the Coogee-Randwick Wombats club, made his first grade debut against the St. George Illawarra Dragons in round 25, 2009 and was part of the Rabbitohs’ premiership-winning side in 2014. Clark also represented City Origin in 2015. Clark becomes the 25th player in South Sydney history to reach 150 first grade games for the Club.
Walker made his debut against the Roosters in round one of the 2015 season and represented Country Origin in the final City vs Country match played last season.
The Ron Coote Cup celebrates the career of one of the game’s greatest players, Ron Coote AM, who won six premierships and played in nine Grand Finals during his 15 seasons playing first grade football with both South Sydney and Eastern Suburbs.
