The Rabbitohs and Souths Cares have partnered with SEDA College to provide high school students an alternative pathway to gaining their HSC, whilst also gaining hands on experience within the sporting industry.
Term 1 for the Rabbitohs SEDA College started Tuesday with eight Year 11 and Year 12 students completing an induction at Rabbitohs Head Quarters.
As well as gaining their HSC, the SEDA students will also obtain their Certificate 3 in Sport and Recreation, Certificate 2 in Business and a Grassroots coaching qualification. Brad Spinks, Program Facilitator explained the partnership between the Rabbitohs and SEDA provided a unique way for students to complete their schooling.
"It’s a great way for students to complete their HSC whilst also gaining additional qualifications and work experience. Partnering with the Rabbitohs and Souths Cares will provide our students with a great start to their careers in the sporting industry," said Brad.
There is still a limited number of places available in SEDA College for 2017. For more information, please see http://apply.sedacollege.nsw.edu.au/
