The South Sydney Rabbitohs Harvey Norman Women's Premiership have been defeated in their Round 10 clash against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Pointsbet Stadium.
Despite trailing at halftime, the Women in Red and Green brought pride back to their side with a big second-half performance.
The first half an hour of the match was all Cronulla, scoring six tries to lead 30-nil, with the Rabbitohs starved of possession and unable to capitalise on their chances.
But with the ball in hand after the break, an inspirational double from bench player Kandy Kennedy would bring the side back within three tries after ten minutes of the second stanza.
And although talented young centre Tayla Pilley and powerful forward Rhianna Sutherland added their names to the scoresheet, the home side were too strong, running away with a 40-20 victory.
The side will now have two weeks off before returning to the Metricon High Performance Centre at Redfern Oval to take on CRL Newcastle.
