The South Sydney Rabbitohs are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic writer who has an interest in Rugby League to join our multimedia team for the 2022 season.
This role will require the successful candidate to delve beyond the surface of match coverage to unearth compelling stories about the Rabbitohs team and players, while providing readers a clear and nuanced view of the game. This position is a casual role and requires work around the NRL schedule including weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing analytical match reports on a deadline, during and following a game
- Understand live coverage and be able to approach story arch with an engaging mindset
- Contribute to the live game social media coverage through Twitter
- Conduct research and provide creative analytical stories following the game
- Feature and special publication writing
- Effective use of multimedia to aid storytelling
- High attention to detail and ability to review own work
- Publish content to Rabbitohs network via CMS
