Persistence Is A Big Thing In Sports: Crichton

Angus Crichton admits he hasn't had a pretty start to his NRL career but the young Rabbitoh believes persisting through this tough time with his teammates will benefit him professionally and personally.

Crichton is no stranger to persistance after spending the past two seasons working through injuries to succeed in his goal to debut for the Rabbitohs first grade squad.

However, after consecutive defeats in his opening matches in the Red & Green, Crichton is focusing on how he can benefit from the tough times.

"Going through tough times is something that every athlete has to experience," said Crichton.

"Going through this early in my career will, at the end of the day, make me a better player and a better person."

Crichton is adament that the breakthrough will come for the Rabbitohs by working hard and sticking together.

"We need to stay together and everyone needs to address their own individual games, work on it and we can get there," said Crichton.

"We need to go out and hold the ball, make our tackles - it's as simple as that. If we have a fair share of possession I believe we've got the attacking weapons in this team,

"You look around and see the faces of Sam Burgess, John Sutton, Cody Walker; players that you know can score tries,

"I've got full belief in this side."
