Musgrove Targeting Consistency

With another year under his belt, 21-year old Rabbitohs prop Zane Musgrove is looking to put his best foot forward in 2018 and add more consistent performances to his locker.

Musgrove believes consistency in Rugby League is the key to success, and the Samoan prop plans to build his consistency this pre-season when he joins back with the Rabbitohs at Redfern Oval.

“I just want to play consistent footy,” said Musgrove.

“I felt like this year I was a bit inconsistent in some of my games and I’m looking for consistency throughout my season in 2018.”

Currently enjoying his time on duty with Samoa at his first ever Rugby League World Cup, Musgrove has kept a keen eye on the boys back at Redfern during their pre-season training and the forward is keen to get amongst the action.

“100% I’m excited, we’ve got young boys coming up and the senior boys still here so I’m excited to see what we can bring this coming season and what the new boys can bring to our team.

“I haven’t been back to witness what the boys have been doing so that’s why I’m looking forward to coming back, getting to know 'Seibs' (Anthony Seibold) as Head Coach and see what he can do to change our Club."

Musgrove knows that burden of proof lies with him and the players when it comes to executing high performance on the field.

“I think it’s all on us as players to turn the Club around and show the rest of the comp what we are all about.”

Although Musgrove hasn’t had much game time at the World Cup he’s hoping that the experiences he has had with the Samoan camp can help him improve with the Rabbitohs in 2018.

“I’m having fun, that’s been the big thing in our camp having fun with the boys trading memories and when you look back you can have a laugh that’s a big thing for me.”

“It has been my first time in the Samoan camp so just learning from a different environment and mixing and mingling with other players has helped me grow as a player.”
