Maguire’s Insights – Rd 22, 2016

Maguire's Insights, brought to you by Hostplus, is here for our Round 22 clash with the Melbourne Storm - Get the inside look from the head coach as he welcomes back four players for our trip to AAMI Park.

Hymel Hunt, Joe Burgess, Thomas Burgess and Greg Inglis will all slot back into Maguire's new look squad as the Rabbitohs look to put in a good performance against the Melbourne Storm for the Ovarian Cancer Australia Charity Challenge.

"We've got a number of players coming back in," Maguire said.

"That's bringing the enthusiam back into what we're doing. We're looking forward to going away and getting a performance."

Winger Joe Burgess earns his spot back in Maguire's squad after notching up a first half hat-trick against the Wyong Roos whilst playing for the North Sydney Bears on Sunday the 31st of July.

"Joey unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, had a bit of a tough day out," Maguire explained.

"He went away, prepared himself really well and has come up with three tries for Norths and got them the win,

"It gives him another opportunity to come back into first grade and show what he's capable of doing - He's a good kid and I really enjoy coaching him."

Maguire also highlights his pride in Hymel Hunt and Greg Inglis returning in great shape after longer stints out of first grade.

"Hymel Hunt, who's been out for a long period of time, it's a real credit to him how he's prepared himself and he's in great shape," Maguire said.

The Rabbitohs will play in the Ovarian Cancer Australia Charity Challenge this Saturday at AAMI Park and the participation of his team in this initiative is a source of pride for Maguire.

"It's a special thing that I think our Club does well - Souths Cares are a big part of who we are,"

"We get to provide opportunities for a lot of people through charities and to be able to do that this weekend is very special.

"There is a lot of things going on in the background with our players. They're going out and spending a lot of time in and out of hospitals with young kids.

"It's a very special part of what we get to do in Club land and Souths Cares is a big part of that."
