Alex Johnston scored two tries against the Knights in Sunday afternoon’s 34-12 victory in Round 25 at Hunter Stadium.
Johnston’s second try marked the teams sixth for the game and one that he claims owes credit to his team mates.
“They were a pretty easy two tries for me, I didn’t have to do much but I’ll take it any day of the week but full credit to the boys to get it out to me,” said Johnston.
The set continued coming off the 4th tackle when the team work and quick passes between Damien Cook and Thomas Burgess threw off the Newcastle defence.
The play followed with a well-weighted Reynolds chip that slotted straight into the arms of an unmarked Johnston who was able to ground it unmarked on our right edge.
