The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their 21-man squad for their Round 16 fixture against the North Queensland Cowboys at Barlow Park in Cairns this Sunday 1 July at 4.10pm.
The Rabbitohs' representative players selected in representative teams for last weekend's Test and State match ups have been selected to play in this Sunday's clash with the Cowboys. This game is littered with State of Origin representatives including Queensland captain Greg Inglis, Dane Gagai, Damien Cook, Angus Crichton, Gavin Cooper, Coen Hess, Adam Reynolds, Matt Scott and Queensland legend Johnathan Thurston.
This will be the final time that Thurston will play in Cairns and could be the last time Inglis and Thurston play against each other after both playing countless games together in successful Queensland and Australian teams over the past 13 seasons.
This is the sixth consecutive season the Rabbitohs have taken a home game to Cairns with the support of the Queensland Government via Tourism and Events Queensland, Cairns Regional Council and the Cairns District Rugby League.
The curtain raiser match at Barlow Park will be the under 19s match up between the Atherton Roosters and Ivanhoe Knights. This game will kick off at 1.55pm with the gates scheduled to open at 1.40pm.
Tickets for this match are available through Ticketek by visiting www.ticketek.com.au/rabbitohs, by calling 132 849 or by visiting any Ticketek agency.
Good seats are still available in all ticketing categories so save money by pre-purchasing tickets. Tickets start from just $25 for adults and $12 for kids.
