After leading the team at the Auckland Nines, Bryson Goodwin is excited to get back into full-format footy focusing all his energy on the Charity Shield trial match on Sunday.
Describing the trial as an opportunity to get a full game under his belt, Goodwin’s attention is drawn to getting back into routine for each week as it comes.
“My focus is just to get a good hit out, get back into the swing of things,” exaplined Goodwin.
“I missed a fair bit of footy last year so to just get a full game under my belt hopefully and just get ready for round one which the trial match is usually for.”
With the start of the season just around the corner, Goodwin says he is aiming to improve every week and to win every game while describing the exciting atmosphere around training.
“My main focus is to play solid, play well, improve every week, the same as every week and like everyone just want to win.
“It’s a very exciting atmosphere, the boys have been really looking forward to round one but first of all we’ve got the Charity Shield this week so all focus is set on the Charity Shield."
