The South Sydney Rabbitohs have announced their Harold Matthews (under 16s) and SG Ball (under 18s) teams to take on the Balmain Tigers this Saturday at Redfern Oval.
Following a positive Round 2 that saw both the Club’s side’s come away with wins over the North Sydney Bears – including a 58-0 drubbing in the Harold Matthews match – the men in Red and Green will take on traditional Foundation rivals, Balmain.
For SG Ball Coach and former Test winger, Matt King, the match will give an indication of where his side is in the early stages of the competition.
“There was a bit too much drop-ball, especially early on. We need to rectify that and start building on the things we work on at training.
“The real test comes this weekend against Balmain for us – they managed a win over Parramatta this past weekend and Parra are always a strong outfit.
“We’ll have a good indication of where we are following this weekend’s game.”
