New Junior Rabbitohs Member, Jaxon Anderson, enjoyed what he has describes as “the best day ever,” after spending time with his Rabbitohs heroes in Townsville last Friday.
In a stroke of luck, Jaxon, along with parents Tracy and Dean, stayed in the same hotel as the men in Red and Green ahead of last week’s match against the Cowboys – the family travelling from Mackay to watch the match.
Excited by the knowledge that somewhere in the hotel, his Rabbitohs heroes were preparing for the game, Jaxon positioned himself in the hotel lobby for two hours, waiting for the team to depart for the stadium ahead of that night’s clash.
It would prove to be worth the wait, with all the boys happy to sign young Jaxon’s book as well as pose for photos, with Rabbitohs forward, Thomas Burgess, taking time out to ensure that Jaxon met all his favourite players.

Jaxon’s mother, Tracy, was overjoyed to see the Rabbitohs looking after her son.
“We were lucky enough to be staying at the same hotel as the team on Friday night and our son sat downstairs waiting for them,” Tracy.
“When they came down on their way to the game, they all took the time to talk to Jaxon and sign his book.
“Tom Burgess, made a big effort and made sure Jaxon got photos with all his favourite players – I was so impressed!
“The boys were on the way to a game and were obviously trying to stay focused, but still took the time out for our son. Needless to say, he describes it as the best day ever!
“He’s a huge Rabbitohs fan and saves his pocket money in order to buy the latest jersey and other memorabilia.”
Jaxon has been playing Rugby League for four years now and is looking forward to heading down to Sydney to take part in a future Rabbitohs Junior Clinic.
