Cam Murray is confident in his recovery following his first 80 minute first grade performance and is looking forward to the challenge of the Melbourne Storm on Saturday.
“I’m feeling pretty good to be honest,” said Murray.
“I guess the body is used to pumping out 80 minutes but I don’t know, maybe because I’m young I put a big emphasis on my recovery so after the 80 minutes is up it’s all about recovering for next week so I’m feeling pretty good today.”
This weekend will mark another first for Murray who will travel down south with the team for his first trip to Melbourne for an NRL clash.
“Yeah another big challenge for us and we will take it with both hands.
“I’m really looking forward to travelling down to Melbourne with the boys, it’s the first time I’ve been down to Melbourne with a first grade side so all the boys are up for the challenge and can’t wait to take the field.”
Despite looking forward to the trip with his teammates, Murray highlights the business side of things and is focused on putting his best performance forward.
“It’s just footy for me I guess, nothing more. You can sort of take the mindset that you’re going away, a little trip with the boys and it’s an opportunity to get to know some of the players a bit more, an opportunity to relax, kind of take it as a holiday kind of thing but it is for business and you can’t forget that.
“It is another opportunity to like I said get to know the boys but at the end of the day we are going down there to get the win against Melbourne so our full focus will be on that.”
