England captain and Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess says the fate of the England team in this year’s Four Nations tournament rests with the players within the squad and not any other outside influences.
Speaking to the gathered Rugby League media after England’s win over Scotland on Sunday morning AEDST, Burgess said it was good to get the win but the big challenge still lies ahead.
“It’s up to us now,” Burgess said.
“The bottom line is we got the job done in the end and the guys will come in ready to work hard next week.
“It’s down to us now, the choices we make and how we prepare.
“I certainly believe in my squad. We’ve just got to get it right during the week.”
