South Sydney Rabbitohs' outside back Mawene Hiroti has been short listed for the 2018 Junior Player of the Year at the New Zealand Rugby League Awards.
At just 19 years of age, Mawene made his NRL debut in Round 23 against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.
In 2017, Hiroti represented the New Zealand Under 18s side, while this year, he made the jump to the Junior Kiwis, playing alongside fellow Rabbitohs' teammate, Lucky Ta'avale.
Other finalists for the award include New Zealand Warriors forwards, Isaiah Papali'I and Joseph Vuna.
The winners will be announced on 12 December.
