Angus Crichton will run out tonight at ANZ Stadium in special painted boots for the Rabbitohs Indigenous Round clash against the Wests Tigers.
The signficance of this round is especially important to Angus Crichton - who spoke about his excitement to play in the fixture to the NRL Media earlier this week.
"It's unreal. It should be a great game - it's Indigenous round," said Crichton.
"We’ve got a really strong Indigenous culture at the Club. I’m really excited to get out there and represent all those people and do the Club proud.”
Sharing his special boots on Instagram, Crichton wrote:
"So excited to be able to play in these boots tomorrow painted by my yoko yoko for Indigenous round.
"I may not have dark skin but the way that my Yolngu family have welcomed and embraced me into their culture makes me so proud to be an Australian and so proud of our Indigenous history. #gudjuk #wunungmurraboys"
Crichton spent time in the off-season with the Yolngu family in North East Arnhem Land - Read about his trip here.
