Crichton Feeling Fit Ahead Of Dragons Clash

There is still plenty of motivation among the Rabbithohs to finish the year strongly believes Angus Crichton. Out of the moonboot, the young second-rower is feeling ready to run onto the SCG turf this Friday.

Crichton has been a consistent performer for the Rabbitohs over 18 appearances this season, ranking third in all metres gained in the squad - just behing Alex Johnston and Sam Burgess. He's also produced the second most amount of tackles in the squad behind Sam Burgess.

Despite the intense workload, Crichton is feeling good heading into Friday's match.

“The last couple of weeks it has been sore after the games, but this weekend it pulled up pretty well, and I didn’t have to wear the moonboot this week,” said Crichton.

The changes in line up have also given opportunities to younger players in the team to show what they can do - something that Angus is proud of.

“It’s unreal - that’s the kind of positives you’ve got to look at in this kind of position we’ve found ourselves in at the moment - players like Cam Murray getting a bit of game time and finding his feet in the NRL.”

For Crichton, focusing on improvements to his game even in the final weeks is important.

“At the end of the day you’ve got to hold yourself accountable and if your not performing each week, you’ve got to make sure you are so you’re not letting down your teammates.”
