As we head into Team list Tuesday and Friday's trip out to Pepper Stadium to face the Penrith Panthers we take a look at the burning questions facing your Rabbitohs right now!
Origin Stars Backing Up?
With talk coming out of the NSW camp that they’ll play less timid, and Queensland with a packed Suncorp Stadium cheering them on, there is a good chance we’re in for a very physical Origin II. Off the back of that will we see the return of Adam Reynolds and Greg Inglis in time for our clash with the Penrith Panthers? They managed to back up Origin I but with a shorter recovery period it’s a big ask of the Rabbitohs duo – How will they and Maguire play it?
Sutton’s Influence?
John Sutton was happy to be back on the field several weeks earlier than expected following his pectoral injury in round one. He wasn’t short of impact – running for 124 metres from 11 runs and making 21 tackles in his return to the Red and Green. As a senior member of Maguire’s squad his influence on the team is not to be understated.
“He’s a key member of our squad. He offers a lot and has a lot of experience – It’s great to have him around,” said Thomas Burgess earlier this season about Sutton’s effect on the team.
With Sutton offering that experience in the back row will we see more consistency to your Rabbitohs?

Carter’s Bench Spot?
Paul Carter has been ruled out of Friday’s game after taking an early guilty plea after being charged by the Match Review Committee for a Grade One Dangerous Contact – Other charge following our round 15 clash with the Parramatta Eels.
Against the Eels he was used off the bench which leaves the question – Who will Maguire pick to fill Carter’s now vacant bench spot? Will he opt for another back rower or will he play his cards a little differently?
Penrith and the Bye?
After managing a tight comeback performance against 14th placed Manly in Round 14, the Panthers then had a bye round last week. With the bye round effect being hard to judge could this disruption to their routine be a negative or positive outcome for the Panthers?
