Scans have revealed that Rabbitohs captain Sam Burgess has injured his rib cartilage during Friday night's clash against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
The scans have shown that there is no break in the bones. He will be monitored by Rabbitohs medical staff during the week and is a possibility to play in Saturday's fixture against the Canberra Raiders.
