The 40th Charity Shield between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons will kick off at the new time of 4:20pm on Saturday 18 February at Glen Willow Stadium in Mudgee.
Due to hotter than usual conditions expected for this weekend, the NRL has moved back the kick off times for the Charity Shield, the World Club Challenge and other trial matches on this Saturday.
The gates at Glen Willow Stadium are scheduled to open at 1:45pm, with the first grade match the only game to be played on the main field that day.
The NSW Cup trial match which was originally scheduled to be played at 1:15pm has now been moved to the secondary field at the Glen Willow Sporting Complex which will kick off at 10:30am on Saturday. Unfortunately no spectators will be admitted to watch this at the secondary field due to logistics. This NSW Cup game has been moved to the earlier time to meet the NSWRL’s heat protocols and to ensure the game is played, giving players a chance to trial before the start of their season proper.
