The Rabbitohs are returning to the Sunshine Coast once again in 2021 to take on the New Zealand Warriors in Round 19.
Making the decision to return to the Sunshine Coast could not have been an easier one. It has everything you could ever need all in one place; Footy, surf and of course, beer.
One man who knows the wonders of the Sunshine Coast is Queensland native and Mayor of Good Times, Ethan Lowe.
Lowe recently brought his best mate up to the Sunshine Coast for the ultimate boys weekend with the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation all mixed into one.
Check out Lowe’s guide to the Sunshine Coast:
- If it’s adventure you’re after, look no further than Caloundra Jetskis. The experienced guides take you and your crew for an adrenalin blast along the western bank of Bribie Island to historic Lighthouse Reach.
- Need to get your steps up? A quick 90-minute hike up Mt Ninderry should do the trick. The heart pumping incline is all worth it when you get to the top for epic views overlooking Yandina and the Blackall Range on the west and Mt Coolum to east.
All that adventuring makes for thirsty work, thankfully the Coast is brimming with mouth watering options.
- Feeling a bit fancy? Head to Pier 33 on the edge of the Mooloolaba Marina for the obligatory waterfront sunset cocktail. Be warned, once you have a bite of the BBQ Maple Glazed Pork Belly and Bacon you might not be able to stop!
- Wander around the buzzing Mooloolaba Esplanade where you can quench your thirst in a number bars & clubs or enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants along the beach front.
The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful escape from the cold Sydney winters and is a great place to make a weekend of it, especially when the NRL game takes place at prime time Saturday 3pm on July 24.
