The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their NRL squad for round 14 against the Newcastle Knights to be played at Stadium Australia this Saturday 12 June at 5:30pm, in a triple-header of matches to be played at Stadium Australia on Saturday.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Wayne Bennett has named a 23-man squad due to the Rabbitohs’ representation in State of Origin Game I on Wednesday night. Damien Cook, Cameron Murray, Latrell Mitchell, Jaydn Su’A, Campbell Graham and Keaon Koloamatangi have all been named in the squad and will be assessed following tomorrow night’s match.
Saturday night is the Rabbitohs’ Junior Appreciation Round which will include a pre-game march past of over 1,000 junior Rugby League players and officials from the South Sydney district around Stadium Australia. There will also be a half time Suttons South Sydney Junior Club Relay race.
All four of the Rabbitohs playing squads – NRL, NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup and Women’s Premiership - will be wearing special socks for this round, raising funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Community Care in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. The Rabbitohs players’ socks will be auctioned after the match with all money raised going towards Cystic Fibrosis Community Care, as well as a generous donation by Rabbitohs Corporate Partner, Suttons City and Suttons Arncliffe, who will make a public donation following the NRL half time ‘Kick for Charity’.
