It's no surprise that we saw both John Sutton and Sam Burgess heavily dominate the voting, to be then crowned the second rowers of the Menulog Team of the Decade!
Sutton and Burgess combined for 518 Rabbitohs games (Sutton; 336 and Burgess; 182) and were two of the most influential players of their era. Both Captained the Club at different points in their career and are Premiership-winners from the 2014 season. Sam Burgess' performance goes down in Rugby League folklore while Sutton, a South Sydney Junior, of course Captained the Rabbitohs on that night to bring up the Club's 21st Premiership.
Sutton brought leadership, professionalism and the ability to cover multiple positions having started at Centre then moving onto Five-Eighth and Lock before finishing his career in the Second Row. A talented ball-player, Sutton brought a brilliant left-foot kicking game and size which made him a threat anywhere on the park. A true Clubman.

Burgess on the other hand may not have possessed the natural finesse of Sutton but was as tough as they came. One to always lead by his actions, Burgess was an out-and-out footballer. Whether on the edge or the middle of the field he would always go looking for the ball and try and stamp his authority.
