Back in 1933 Benny Wearing picked up his 144th Try - A Club record that would last over 80 years!
The speedster spent his entire career at South Sydney (1921-1933) and was an influential part of the Club's first golden era.
Wearing picked up the try in South Sydney's 17-12 loss to Newtown.
His record was later broken by Nathan Merritt who still holds the Club record for most tries with 146.
