The Club has answered frequently asked questions around COVID-19 and the suspension of the season.
Q - What are the players doing for training during this period?
A - Our players are committed to looking after their health and fitness while the competition is suspended, training in their home environments and making sure they are ready to play when the NRL and the Club calls.
Q - When can we expect the season to resume?
A - At this point in time, the NRL and Clubs remain committed to working towards delivering a full season and finals series in 2020 if possible. However this remains an ever-changing situation and we will have more information from the NRL over the next week. We do not know with certainty how the remainder of the 2020 season will play out at this stage, but when we do – you, our Members, will be the first to know.
Q – Will Ticketed Members be compensated now that the season has been suspended?
A – Due to the fluid nature of the situation we are currently working through this as a Club, with the NRL and the game’s partners on the approach for the 2020 Season. The NRL is exploring all options to ensure the season re-commences at a later date. We will be in touch with Members in the coming weeks with more information once receive a final decision on the season.
Q – Will my monthly payments continue to be deducted?
A – As you can appreciate, the situation is continually evolving and the NRL is exploring all options to ensure the 2020 season re-commences. As such, we will continue to process Members monthly membership payments as planning on the 28th of each month until such time as the implications of this situation are fully understood.
Q - With no footy, how is the Club operating?
A - The Club is being run with a skeleton staff using essential workers during this time. Please understand that our staff may not be able to provide answers to questions outside of the communications that have already been shared on the above-mentioned channels.
Q – Is Member Appreciation Day on March 28 going ahead?
A – Member Appreciation day has been postponed until a later date. The club will look to reschedule this event pending the ongoing developments around the 2020 NRL season.
