George Burgess has been found guilty at the NRL Judiciary.

South Sydney Rabbitohs forward George Burgess has been found guilty by the judiciary panel following the round 15 match against the Wests Tigers.

Burgess is set to miss 9 matches after being referred directly to the judiciary following a Dangerous Contact - Head/Neck (Eye Contact) charge after an incident in the 7th minute of the match.

South Sydney General Manager, Shane Richardson addressed the media on behalf of Burgess following the result.

"I just wanted to say we’re happy with the hearing we’ve got tonight. It’s a tragedy for George and the family. George is a loving father; brother and son. He’s been an ornament at South Sydney. It will not define his career."
