The ultimate Clubman - Jason Clark

This Thursday night South Sydney Rabbitohs veteran Jason Clark will be playing his last regular season home game for the Club in what has been a stoic ten-year career in the Red and Green.

South Sydney through and through, Clark first began his Rugby League career with South Sydney juniors team the Randwick-Coogee Wombats before making his way through the Souths Juniors system into first grade.

During his time in the South Sydney under 20's Clark won both the 2009 NYC Best and Fairest award and the 2009 Player's Player award, epitomising his nature, efforts and care for the Rabbitohs Club.

Clark made his debut on the 29 August 2009 against the St George Illawarra Dragons and whilst he didn't play another game that season, his performance off the bench made a lasting impression.

From then on, Clark played 10 consecutive seasons with the Red and Green going on to play 150 games for the Club and also winning a Premiership in 2014.

One of the finest NRL workhorses around, Clark can play anywhere in the forwards, which has made him an invaluable asset for the Rabbitohs throughout his career.

Clark has played every game like it has been his last in 2018, which can be seen by his efforts on the field.

Starting the season playing for the North Sydney Bears, Clark was back in the first-grade team by Round 5 has been a part of the team ever since then.

Whilst he may not be considering a dream finish with his beloved Club, Clark is well and truly in the position to complete a Rugby League fairy tale that everyone who bleeds Red and Green wants to see.

It would be thoroughly deserved for a man who has given it all for the Club he has lived and breathed since he was a kid and we'll all be hoping he can achieve it as well.
