A Member's Perspective - Taking our chances

Super supporter Jamie Lee Dixon never doubted the South Sydney Rabbitohs ability to win at the death last Friday and can't wait for them to reproduce another heroic performance this week against the St. George Illawarra Dragons.

Making it count

Even though we trailed in the Bulldogs game I never once felt it had slipped away. We had a spark and we proved we wanted it more. We missed four would be tries and there were a few contentious calls but it all weighed up in the end. We were never out of it, always attacking and always marching up the field.

Our senior players showed flair. Sam's disallowed try was everything you want from your best player and Inglis' try was poetic. Capitalising on your chances is all you need to win a game of footy, and if we keep up our never-say-die attitude, we will be contenders.

Super Murray

I was super impressed with Cameron Murray. His try was beefy and just what you need against a tiring side. I think he will impress this year. He has a bit of experience now and he has so much talent. If he continues to use his amazing ability, he will shake the papers just like Angus did last season.

The calm before the storm

I really think this team is a bit of a storm rolling in. We are gathering, building, swarming and getting ready to explode. We have the right people in the right places. Our young wingers are complimented with amazing centres and our forward pack has really picked up from last year, plus we have Reyno ready to come back fresh as a daisy. So I am really looking forward to seeing what the boys can do against the Dragons.

It's time to slay the Dragon

Infamous for kicking off the season strong, the Dragons have shown the goods so far but we do not like them, and we would be more than happy to wipe the smiles off their faces and bring them back down to earth. We will be down Sam but up on confidence and determination.

Up against our foe James Graham, this will be a hot game. Our English twins pretend to be his mate, but on the field, friendships are put aside. This up-front duel has got me interested. If we can win the battle in the middle, our backs have got it all over them. The refs make it hard to win these days, so we have to take every chance we can get. Getting a win over the Dragons? Only time will win tell but I believe we can do it.

Up the mighty Rabbitohs!
