Cody Walker reflects on the Rabbitohs Round 20 result against the Cronulla Sharks before turning his focus to this weekend and the match against the Canberra Raiders on Saturday.

“I think we were really disappointed in our result,” said Walker.

“I thought we played really well in patches, I think it showed in our first attacking set, and we dropped it I think on the third or fourth tackle.

“We really wanted to go into the game completing our sets and putting on the pressure on the Cronulla Sharks and the very first set of the game we dropped it.

“We are not where we want to be but we need to turn it around very quickly.”

Walker explains his belief in the team and the focus this weekend to put in an 80 minute performance with each player individually acing their role.

“We’ve just got to focus on this weekend. I think consistently we haven’t been there and put an 80 minute performance in so consistency is a big thing and holding the ball I suppose.

“I think it’s individually everyone doing their role. As I said before I think we have done it in patches on the weekend, I thought we got the momentum back in the second half but I think an offload went astray and they got the ball back. When we’ve got momentum I think we need to hold onto it a little longer.

“I think we’ve got a really good squad here that we should be a little bit up the table but it’s not to be.”
