Rabbitohs centre Bryson Goodwin explains that the team has not given up hope for the finals and the aim, like every other week, is to focus on the game ahead and to get the win.

“We never give up hope,” explained Goodwin.

“For us it’s pretty much win, win every week so we will just turn up and give it our best shot this week against Cronulla.

“We try to win every game regardless so like I said we will turn up Friday night and put our best foot forward.”

Following last week’s result against the Cowboys, the Rabbitohs will be looking to come out firing against the Cronulla Sharks, a team who Goodwin loves playing against.

“It was pretty tough to take, it was frustrating especially in the position that we are in. I thought we were a lot better team than what we showed on the weekend but now we just have to move on from that because we have a pretty quick turn around and just look forward to Cronulla on Friday.

“I love playing against Cronulla. They are the Premiers and I think every team aims up against the Premiers. They’ve been very good this season as well so we are going to have to be at our best this week to beat them.”
