With the Rabbitohs trailing by six points as the second half kick off, Hymel Hunt took it on himself to lift his teammates with a bone-rattling hit on Tautau Moga which set the tone for the next series of sets which led to his team equalising in the 44th minute.

Tautau Moga received the ball from Andrew McCullough on the Broncos 30m line and ran straight for Adam Reynolds. Moga would only gain 5 metres from this run as Hunt lined up the Brisbane centre and laid him out with a devastating hit.

This would lift the Rabbitohs team who would pile pressure on the Broncos before Sam Burgess crashed through the Brisbane defence to equalise the scores at 12-12 after 44 minutes.
