Rabbitohs Members joined legends of the Club Mario Fenech, Roy Asotasi, Ben Lowe and Chief Executive Officer Blake Solly on board the Pacific Jewel as part of the first Red & Green Cruise thanks to our Membership Partner, P&O Cruises.
The five-day cruise consisted of a return trip from Sydney to Moreton Island allowing Members to connect with each other, legends of the game and Rabbitohs staff through private Rabbitohs functions.
The ship took off from White Bay Cruise Terminal on Thursday afternoon. Once boarding was complete and Members were settled in, the Rabbitohs held a private cocktail function where CEO Blake Solly made the proud announcement of the Club’s 30,000 Members milestone. Celebrating together on the back of the ship, Members got to meet and chat with Rabbitohs legends while the cruise sailed out of the headlands and on route to Moreton Island.
The next day involved a Q&A session where Members put Solly to the test, asking the nitty gritty business questions while our Rabbitohs legends took a look back at their careers and reminisced back on the memories from their footy days.
Each Member then had the opportunity to have their photo taken with the talent before the group moved to the top deck where our legends took the time to sign autographs before the ANZAC Test Match kicked off live on the big screen.
Upon rising on the third day, Members and passengers looked out to Moreton Island before embarking tenders into shore. Many activities were on offer including helicopter rides, snorkelling, rides across the Island on quad bikes, sliding down the sand dunes and more!
The cruise ended with a Rabbitohs trivia session testing all the long-time Members with their Rabbitohs rugby league knowledge. To not much surprise, the scores were close but 10 lucky Members went home with their prize of gift bags full of Rabbitohs goodies. The afternoon finished up with Members cheering on Rabbitohs players Kyle Turner, Damien Cook and Cody Walker in the Country vs City Origin Test.
