Rabbitohs forward Zane Musgrove believes last night's (Friday's) result against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs came down to his side losing key moments.

Musgrove believes the Rabbitohs matched the Bulldogs, and at times exceeded their performance, on the field for large portions of the game, but lapses in concentration allowed the game to get away from them.

"Obviously we're disappointed with that result last night," said Musgrove.

"It came down to key moments in the game that let us down. We're all focused for this week and looking to improve in those areas this week.

"We've looked at it and we'll put it behind us. Take the positives forward and focus on this week."

In his second season with the Rabbitohs, the young forward feels he has more to offer and expects to improve through more game time in 2017.

"I feel like I'm going ok - there's still room for improvement," said Musgrove.

"I'm just looking to improve each week and get more game time under my belt."
