Celebrating Indigenous Culture

"We say every South Sydney supporter has Indigenous blood in their veins, that is part of being a Souths supporter.” – Rabbitohs Chairman, Nicholas Pappas.

The Rabbitohs celebrate Indigenous culture alongside their proud Indigenous players in this Round 11 clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons at ANZ Stadium tonight.

As part of those celebrations, a unique Rabbitohs Indigenous jersey will be worn against Dragons in what is a source of great pride not only for the Club’s Indigenous players – who influenced the strip’s design – but for the wider Rabbitohs Family.

The jersey, designed by Sydney-based Indigenous designer, Nikita Ridgeway, tells the stories of six of the Club’s Indigenous players.

Two important Australian organisations with a focus on Indigenous people and causes, KARI Aboriginal Resources and Recognise, also feature on the jersey thanks to Rabbitohs co-major partner Crown Resorts.
