Top Metre Gainers

The Burgess twins picked up where they left off in 2014 by accounting for 293 metres made between them, helping to lay the platform for a Rabbitohs victory. Running from the back, Greg Inglis made his mark with 148 metres with the ball in hand.

Thomas Burgess – 151

Greg Inglis – 148

George Burgess – 142

Chris Grevsmuhl - 123

Alex Johnston – 120

Top Tacklers

Following on from his solid start in the red and green – in both the Return to Redfern clash as well as the World Club Challenge – Glenn Stewart asserted his authority by topping the team tackle-count with 26. George Burgess and Issac Luke were close behind.

Glenn Stewart – 26

George Burgess – 25

Issac Luke – 24

Adam Reynolds – 22

John Sutton – 22

Eight from Eight

Adam Reynolds had a perfect night with the boot in Brisbane, kicking eight goals from eight attempts – five conversions and three penalty goals – from all angles on the pitch. But it wasn’t just Reynolds’ accuracy that was impressive, the number seven also managing to slot one from a whopping 51 metres out to round out the match.

Top Tackle Breaks

Adam Reynolds played with plenty of confidence in the opening round clash, taking on the defence with plenty of purpose. Reynolds used all of his 85kg to break five tackles during the match. Reynolds’ new-found willingness to take on the line will no doubt cause plenty of problems for oppositions in the coming weeks.

Adam Reynolds – 5

Dylan Walker – 5

Alex Johnston – 3

John Sutton – 3

Bryson Goodwin – 2

Greg Inglis - 2

Joel Reddy - 2
