We've had a few people talk lately to us about the 'Bunny-mobile' cruising around Sydney. We've dug into the archives to re-tell the story of Reg Richardson's famed automobile!
Melanoma Institute of Australia Chairman, Reg Richardson AM, is one proud Rabbitoh and he has the glasses, tie, socks and vehicle to prove it!
Mr Richardson visited Redfern back in 2015, driving a Mini Cooper that is no doubt the envy of every die-hard Member. Complete with Rabbitohs logos, red and green stripes and Rabbitohs number plates, the only thing missing – although superfluous – would be a Rabbitohs bumper sticker.
The vehicle was a gift to the Rabbitohs-mad Mr Richardson for his commitment to raising money for charity and is a fitting accessory among a vast array of other personal items such as his flashy glasses.
“When Souths won the Premiership on October 5 2014 (Greg Poche) gave me the Bunny-mobile,” said Reg.
“I think it looks absolutely wonderful. I always get positive reactions, but I’m always very careful about where I drive,” laughed Reg.
Mr Richardson is proud to have seen the great Clive Churchill – along with a vast array of other names – play in the flesh.
